In aanloop naar de volgende blokkade van de A12 in Den Haag (28 januari) is het tijd voor een actietraining in Nijmegen! Dinsdagavond 10 januari ben je welkom aan de Van Herveltplaats 5 (de grote loods in de steeg). Ook voor deelname aan andere acties is deze training 100% geschikt. Aanmelden kan via de link verderop in deze aankondiging.
Wil je meedoen met de acties van XR, dan is het zeer aan te raden van tevoren een Actietraining te hebben gehad. Om het even of je aan acties wil meedoen met een hoog risico op arrestatie, of juist niet. En ook als je dat voor jezelf nog niet helder hebt, is deze training dé plek om daar achter te komen.
Tijdens de training leer je alles over
hoe het is om mee te doen met een XR-actie en hoe we die organiseren,
wat een Affiniteitsgroep is en wat het nut is tijdens een actie,
wat de juridische gevolgen zijn van burgerlijke ongehoorzaamheid,
hoe we bij XR aankijken tegen geweldloosheid en waar jij zelf de grens trekt,
de-escalatietechnieken die je kunt inzetten.
De training duurt ca. 2,5 uur.
Om 19:00 uur beginnen we met kennismaken tijdens een gezamenlijke potluck-maaltijd: neem zelf iets te eten mee (dus voldoende voor 1 persoon) om te delen. Zo heb je al snel een prachtig buffet! Als je bijdrage vega(n) is, kan iedereen mee-eten. Wie een speciaal dieet volgt, doet er verstandig aan iets apart voor zichzelf mee te nemen. En als het voor jou om wat voor reden dan ook niet mogelijk is om iets mee te nemen, is dat ook oké. Er is doorgaans meer dan genoeg.
Om 20:00 uur gaan we door met (de rest van) de training.

Ahead of the next blockade of the A12 in The Hague (28 January), it is time for an action training in Nijmegen! Tuesday evening 10 January, you are welcome at Van Herveltplaats 5 (the big shed in the alley). This training is also 100% suitable for participating in other actions. If you want to participate in XR's actions, it is highly recommended to have had an Action Training beforehand. Regardless of whether you want to participate in actions with a high risk of arrest or not. And even if you don't have that clear to yourself yet, this training is the place to find out.
During the training you will learn all about
what it is like to take part in an XR action and how we organise it,
what an Affinity Group is and its usefulness during an action,
what the legal consequences of civil disobedience are,
how we at XR view non-violence and where you draw the line,
de-escalation techniques you can use.
The training takes about 2.5 hours.
At 19:00 we start by getting acquainted over a communal potluck meal: bring your own food ( that is, enough for 1 person) to share. That way we will have a wonderful buffet in no time! If your contribution is vega(n), everyone can eat along. Those following a special diet would be wise to bring something separate for themselves. And if for some reason it is not possible for you to bring something, that is also okay. There is usually more than enough.
