Heading for Extinction and what to do about it? EUR special 2.0

NL: Deze lezing zal in het Engels worden gegeven.

This talk willl be in English.

Location: Somewhere on campus (to be announced)

Since the first talk was such a success, we decided to do a second talk at the Erasmus University campus.

A talk given by Extinction Rebellion Rotterdam, about the reality of the climate crisis and environmental destruction. We will discuss some of the latest scientific facts and figures and explain what these mean for the planet, human beings and the Netherlands. We will talk about what we can do in the face of these challenges and give you the opportunity to start doing something – and it isn’t recycling!

Extinction Rebellion is a non-violent social movement and is active internationally. The aim of the Dutch wing is to let the government tell the truth about the profound consequences of the climate and ecological crisis. The government must act now to halt biodiversity loss and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2025. We need citizens to decide by establishing a Citizens’ Assembly to take the lead on climate and ecological justice.

Doors open: 17:00
Start talk: 17:15
