Our world is facing all kinds of crises: the climate crisis, the ecological crisis, the socio-economic crisis, and now the corona crisis. A crisis that threatens what is dear to us, and for many endangers their income, their health or their lives. A crisis that exposes the cracks in our society, in our system, and hits the most vulnerable the hardest. The Netherlands is going back to “normal” and many other countries are also getting out of lockdowns. We believe that we cannot return to the same normal as before, but should create a new normal.

Two speakers will give a presentation, detailing the overlapping crises that threaten us, how we can work on a different future and the doom that we so often see as inescapable, and how we all come out the same.

Extinction Rebellion Rotterdam presenteert “Waarom we na corona niet terug naar normaal kunnen”!

Onze wereld kampt met allerlei crises: de klimaatcrisis, ecologische crisis, sociaal-economische crisis, en nu de coronacrisis. Een crisis die bedreigt wat ons dierbaar is, en voor velen hun inkomen, hun gezondheid, of hun leven op het spel zet. Een crisis die de scheuren in onze samenleving, in ons systeem blootlegt, en de meest kwetsbaren het hardst treft. Nederland is aan het teruggaan naar “normaal” en veel andere landen zijn ook bezig uit lockdowns te komen. Wij vinden dat we niet terug kunnen naar hetzelfde normaal als hiervoor, maar een nieuw normaal moeten creëren.

Twee sprekers zullen samen een presentatie geven, waarin ze ingaan op de overlappende crises die ons bedreigen, hoe we kunnen werken aan een andere toekomst dan het doembeeld dat we zo vaak als onontkoombaar zien, en hoe we hier allemaal samen uitkomen. De sprekers kunnen ook ingaan op jouw vragen.
