De crisis is nu!

Wat betekent de klimaatcrisis? Waar staan we nu? Wat voor situatie hebben we mee te maken? Benieuwd naar wat Extinction Rebellion doet? Kom naar dit praatje om er meer over te weten te komen!

We zullen een aantal recente wetenschappelijke feiten en cijfers afgaan en uitleggen wat de klimaatcrisis betekent voor de planeet, mensen en ons land. We zullen het hebben over wat hieraan gedaan kan worden en je de kans geven om iets te doen – en het heeft niks te maken met recyclen!

Extinction Rebellion is een geweldloze sociale beweging en is internationaal actief. Het doel van de beweging is om de overheid op te roepen tot drie dingen.
1 – Eerlijk te zijn over de immense gevolgen van de klimaatcrisis en ecologische ramp die ons voortbestaan bedreigen.
2 – Doen wat nodig is om biodiversiteitsverlies onmiddellijk te stoppen en de uitstoot van broeikasgassen te verminderen naar netto nul in 2025.
3 – Burgers laat beslissen over een rechtvaardige transitie door een Burgerberaad op te richten dat een leidende rol speelt in de besluitvorming.

The crisis is now!

What does the climate crisis mean? Where are we now? What kind of situation are we facing? Curious what Extinction Rebellion does?

We will go over some recent scientific facts and figures and explain what the climate crisis means for the planet, people and our country. We will talk about what can be done about it and give you the chance to do something – and it has nothing to do with recycling!

Extinction Rebellion is a non-violent social movement that operates internationally. The aim of the movement is to call on the government to do three things.
1 – Be honest about the immense consequences of the climate crisis and ecological disaster that threatens our survival.
2 – Do what is necessary to stop biodiversity loss immediately and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2025.
3 – Let citizens decide on a just transition by setting up a Citizen’s Council that will play a leading role in decision-making.
