Rebellen voor de rechter: ondersteun ze!

❗️Kom dinsdag 18 januari om 14.00 naar de Rechtbank in Utrecht om een van onze rebellen te steunen! We laten zien dat hij er niet alleen voor staat en demonstreren een recht is!

Met vreedzame, zwermende blokkades vroeg Extinction Rebellion in Amsterdam, Rotterdam en Utrecht op vrijdag 26 februari 2021, in aanloop van de landelijke verkiezingen, aandacht voor de klimaat- en ecologische crisis. In Utrecht zijn er tijdens deze actie, zonder waarschuwing vooraf én preventief, meer dan honderd mensen opgepakt. Inmiddels hebben vier willekeurige rebellen een dagvaarding gekregen, waarvan de eerste op dinsdag 18 januari om 15.30 voor de rechter moet verschijnen. De anderen zijn in februari aan de beurt. We willen met zoveel mogelijk mensen – coronaproof – onze steun betuigen aan de rebel die aanstaande dinsdag aan de beurt is.

💚 Een belangrijk onderdeel binnen Extinction Rebellion is onze Regeneratieve Cultuur. Dit betekent dat we elkaar blijven steunen voor, tijdens en na het actievoeren. Samen creëren we een gezonde en stimulerende beweging en letten we op elkaars wellbeing. Rebels in court: support them!

With peaceful, swarming blockades, Extinction Rebellion drew attention in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht to the climate and ecological crisis on Friday 26 February 2021, in the run-up to the national elections. In Utrecht, more than a hundred people were arrested during this action, without prior warning and as a preventive measure. Four random rebels have since received a court letter, the first of which is due to appear in court on Tuesday, January 18 at 15.30. The others are due in February. We want to show our support with as many people as possible – coronaproof – to our rebel next Tuesday.

💚 An important part of Extinction Rebellion is our Regenerative Culture. This means that we continue to support each other before, during and after the action. Together we create a healthy and stimulating movement and we pay attention to each other’s wellbeing.
