Scientist Rebellion global week of actions
As scientists, we have been ringing the alarm bell about the climate crisis for decades. We wrote letters, signed petitions, and gave talks. Governments did not heed our warnings, and year after year emissions continued to rise. As the latest IPCC report notes: “Any further delay in concerted action will miss a brief and rapidly closing window of opportunity to secure a liveable and sustainable future for all.” It is time for scientists to step up and join the forefront of the climate movement to demand emergency action. We have no time to lose.
From the 4th to 9th of April, Scientist Rebellion is organizing a global week of action, which will include scientists engaging in protests, civil disobedience, and strikes, to demand emergency action against the climate and ecological crisis. We will join from the Netherlands with several events during that week, including a scientists march in the Hague on Wednesday 6th April, during which we will demand emergency action on climate.
