Actie bij het Provinciehuis in Maastricht voorafgaand aan de vergadering van de Provinciale Staten waar Maastricht Aachen AirPort geagendeerd staat.
🇳🇱 Op vrijdag 14 februari spreekt de provincie met de nieuwe CEO van MAA over het toekomstplan van het vliegveld. Maar dat plan is geen verrassing; de directeur heeft het allang in de media onthuld, zonder eerst Provinciale Staten te informeren. Zijn koers? Meer luchtvracht, meer vervuiling, en geen oog voor duurzaamheid.
Keer op keer wordt aangetoond dat de businesscase van MAA nergens op gebaseerd is en de plannen totaal onrealistisch zijn. Toch blijft de provincie MAA onvoorwaardelijk steunen – zelfs als dat betekent dat Limburg blijft opdraaien voor de enorme kosten, onze leefomgeving verder wordt vervuild en onze gezondheid wordt geschaad. Stop deze waanzin, stop MAA!
Voorafgaand aan dit besloten gesprek tussen de provincie en MAA houden wij een demonstratie bij het Provinciehuis in Maastricht. Sluit vooral aan!

On Friday, February 14, the province will meet with the new CEO of MAA to discuss the airport’s future plans. But that plan is no surprise: the director has already revealed it in the media—without first informing the Provincial Council. His course? More flights, more pollution, and no regard for sustainability.
Time and again, it has been proven that MAA’s business case has no solid foundation and that its plans are completely unrealistic. Yet, the province continues to support MAA unconditionally—even if it means Limburg will keep footing the enormous bill, our environment will suffer further pollution, and our health will be at risk. Stop this madness, stop MAA!
Before this closed-door meeting between the province and MAA, we are organizing a demonstration at the Provincial Government Building in Maastricht. Join us!
