During this training you will learn what you can do to prevent tense situations from getting out of hand.
🩵 During actions, tensions with bystanders, the police, or between rebels can escalate considerably. Sometimes, this even jeopardizes the peaceful nature of our actions.
🩵 During this training, you'll learn what you can do to prevent tense situations from escalating. You'll discover how you respond to stress, we'll discuss what we mean by de-escalation at XR, and you'll practice de-escalating in different situations. This training is valuable for every rebel. After the training, you can decide for yourself whether you want to participate in actions as a de-escalator. We'll cover short theoretical sections and focus on interactive and practical work. You won't receive a list of scenarios, as situations are often unpredictable.
We'll also hold a potluck lunch beforehand. Doors open at 12:30, and we'll eat at 1:00 PM. Feel free to join us!
