If you want to participate in XR actions, it is highly recommended that you have completed an Action Training beforehand. This applies whether you want to participate in actions with a high risk of arrest, or not. And even if you're not sure yet, this training is the perfect place to find out.
The training lasts approximately 2.5 hours. If you want to participate, we would appreciate it if you register in advance.
Participation is free. We do have a donation pot for those who can spare some to cover the costs of the venue.
During the training, you will learn about:
- what it's like to participate in an XR action and how we organize it,
- what an Affinity Group is and what its purpose is during an action,
- the legal consequences of civil disobedience,
- how we at XR view nonviolence and where you draw the line,
- de-escalation techniques you can use.
