From the A12 blockade, we will hold our throne speech three days before Prinsjesdag. We will explain why this cabinet in particular should end fossil subsidies and what a huge contribution this will make to de-escalating the climate and ecological crisis. In the government plans, the cabinet does not prioritize the reduction of fossil subsidies and is thus missing major opportunities to take major steps towards a fair, just and future-proof world.

‼️ About why this cabinet must put an end to the 39.7 to 46.4 billion euros in annual fossil subsidies.
👏 The government plans start with the promise to 'win back the trust of Dutch people by working hard and taking people's concerns seriously'.
📣 On September 14 we will show how they can do this by putting an end to fossil subsidies.
🤦 Current policy ensures that profitable companies receive large discounts on their fossil energy bills and pay out billions to foreign shareholders.
😠 Meanwhile, ordinary citizens pay far too much for their energy bills and people in the Global South become victims of the profiteering of these shareholders.
❌ That is unfair and unjust!
👉 Come to the A12 on September 14 to demand that the cabinet takes responsibility for fair, just and future-proof policy and puts an end to fossil subsidies.
