Pebble by pebble, we will disable this railway track used for coal trains and create a biodiversity circle. Coal kills, and after six ecotage actions in the Port of Amsterdam, this time we will go to the Port of Rotterdam to try to end the destructive transport of coal there. After a ceremony in which we will reflect on all the species already extinct or on the verge of extinction due to climate breakdown and ecocide, we will invite all participants to take a pebble from under the railway track. If enough participants take one or more pebbles, the track will subside and no coal train will be able to run over it. With the pebbles, we will create a biodiversity circle to celebrate and commemorate all life on earth.

We will inform the authorities of our action and warn ProRail before entering the track. Only coal trains operate on this stretch of track, and they will be discontinued. Those who will take a pebble risk arrest, but you are also welcome if you do not want to pick up a pebble. Coal is the most harmful fossil fuel for the environment, the climate, and our health, and it is incomprehensible that we are still using coal in the 21st century. In addition, the Port of Rotterdam also tranships blood coal from Colombia: coal for which people have been murdered and displaced. Despite the fact that the Port and the relevant transhipment companies have known about this for years, they continue unabated. By dismantling the coal track pebble by pebble, we want to put an end to this once and for all.

Practical:
At 10 a.m., a bus will leave from Sloterdijk Station to the location. It will travel via Schiedam Station (11 a.m.).
