Guerrilla Fashion is giving away clothes to protest fast fashion. We're gonna do that wherever we can, throughout Europe and eventually all over the world.
Fast fashion is responsible for more waste, pollution, climate damage and human rights violations than most people can imagine: up to 8% of CO₂ emissions, a third of all the ocean's microplastics, a fifth of global water waste and countless lost human lives, now and in the future. Guerrilla Fashion was started with one single goal:
Guerrilla Fashion is giving away perfectly wearable secondhand clothes to protest fast fashion. We do so inside of stores, in front of stores and wherever we like. We let the shopping public know: there is another way.
In May, the Netherlands did this action simultaneously in 27 cities (and Germany joined with one more). Now, we're ready to spread out throughout Europe. We have a step by step plan, and experienced Guerrilla Fashionistas to help you set this action up in your own town. It's super easy, and executable with just two people (but, the more the merrier).
The action is low-risk and super public friendly. It's perfect for rebels who are just starting, or rebels who don't like to be arrested. At the same time, the effect of the action is huge. With just a few people in each city and the power of local press and social media, our message reaches tens of millions of people.
