Spijker je Klimaat-kennis bij over Fossiele Subsidies met Lucas Winnips!

Het eerstvolgende Straat-Klimaat-College zal worden gehouden op maandag 2 februari, direct na het Klimaat-Alarm!

JN! Den Haag heeft sinds begin dit jaar een uitgebreidere vorm van het klimaat-alarm opgezet, waarbij we vertellen, in een wat langere toespraak (een informeel en toegankelijk hoorcollege op straat), over intersectionele onderwerpen gerelateerd aan de klimaatcrisis.
Afgelopen maand hebben we de term intersectionaliteit of ‘kruispuntdenken’ uitgebreid toegelicht, wat immers de sleutel is tot het volledig begrijpen van de klimaatcrisis.

Voor het college in februari brengen we voor het eerst een gastspreker naar voren om het publiek over een onderwerp te vertellen: een zeer bekend gezicht binnen de klimaatbeweging in Nederland, organisator van de campagne #StopFossieleSubsidies, en zelf lid van Extinction Rebellion NL als hun officiële woordvoerder: Lucas Winnips!
Hij zal iedereen die wil komen luisteren uitgebreid vertellen over Fossiele Subsidies, wat dit zijn, en waarom ze zo’n belangrijke rol spelen wat het bestrijden van de klimaatcrisis in Nederland betreft. Duizenden mensen hebben de afgelopen jaren immers tientallen malen op de A12 gestaan met elkaar, door weer, wind en politiegeweld, om de regering zover te krijgen deze af te schaffen!

Brush up on your Climate Knowledge about Fossil Subsidies with Lucas Winnips!

Greetings, comrades for Climate Justice!

The next Street-Climate-Lecture will be held on Monday, February 2nd, immediately following the Climate-Alarm!

Since the start of this year, JN! The Hague has organized a more extensive version of the climate alarm, in which we discuss intersectional topics related to the climate crisis, with a speech of significantly higher length (an informal and accessible, free public lecture).
Last month, we extensively explained the term intersectionality, or "Intersection-thinking," which is, after all, the key to fully understanding the scope of the climate crisis.

For the upcoming lecture in february, we’ll have a guest speaker for the first time to address the audience and attendees on a topic: a well-known face and voice within the Dutch climate movement, organizer of the #StopFossilSubsidies campaign, and member of Extinction Rebellion NL as their official spokesperson for several years now: Lucas Winnips!

He will give everyone who wants to listen a detailed explanation of fossil subsidies, what they are, and why they play such a crucial role in combating the climate crisis in the Netherlands. After all, thousands of people have stood together on the A12 highway dozens of times in recent years, through all kinds of weather and manners of police brutality, to persuade the government to abolish these!
