New rebels are welcome

Wolf Bram is father to five children, two of which have died after being hit by cars. Now, he is being hunted because he is supposedly a "problematic wolf". We will hike in support of Bram!

Wolves are important for biodiversity in the Netherlands. Biodiversity is under severe pressure, and the wolf is a protected species.

Wolf Bram is the father of five cubs, two of which were killed in traffic accidents. He is now being hunted because he is considered a problem wolf.

But wolves need peace and quiet when raising their young. On the Den Treek-Henschoten estate, Bram and his pack are not being given that peace and quiet. This has resulted in incidents for which Bram is being blamed. But can a wild animal be blamed for human actions?

Come and make your voice heard against the shooting of Bram!

You are welcome to come dressed in your own colors or those of the movement you belong to.

The rules for participation are:

  • We treat everyone with respect—each other, bystanders, the government, and the police.

  • We do not use violence, physical or verbal. We do not carry weapons or sharp objects.

  • We do not bring alcohol or drugs and are not under the influence during actions.

  • We hold ourselves accountable for our actions.

  • We take responsibility for ourselves; we are all part of the team.

  • We do not make noise in the vicinity of nature.

  • Our signs, slogans, and chants are also nonviolent.

We will walk a route through Maarn, past the Den Treek-Henschoten estate. If there are enough participants and helpers, there is another long route that passes Bram's habitat and the place where one of his cubs was killed.

Note: Dutch railways does not have trains to Maarn station due to construction work. There are replacement busses from station Driebergen-Zeist.

This protest is organized in collaboration between XR Utrechtse Heuvelrug & Woudenberg en Animal Rebellion.
