On Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, prior to the general meeting, we organize an introductory workshop on Active Hope at the Rebel Base.

We start with a meditation exercise to ground yourself in your body and in the group. Then we will work on the Spiral, a basic concept in the Work that Connects by Joanna Macy. In four phases you give space to different feelings.

The Spiral begins with gratitude. This is a powerful emotion that strengthens your psychological resilience. From this solid foundation you can face pain and worry. Not just to accept it, but to honor your pain. Because pain for the sake of something greater than
yourself, means you care about that. It comes from love. This is the prelude to the next phase: looking with a new perspective. By the
new insights we gain, we see new possibilities and new roles to fulfill. Finally, we continue our journey by putting these new insights into practice and taking concrete steps in our contribution to a better Earth.
