When we think of agriculture, we tend to think of artificial fertilisers, large machines, mass production, GMOs and pesticides. These are issues that XR is right to draw attention to. At the same time, there are also an increasing number of farmers who are running their businesses differently. These farmers work in an agro-ecological way, with a focus on nature, soil and biodiversity, and they want to integrate this into their farms. This can be done in all sorts of ways and even goes as far as planting trees in the middle of a field. We will be hearing more about this this evening.

In addition, if there is interest and time, we can explore other topics. These might include how to design your garden in an environmentally friendly way, or learning more about our forests and how timber can be harvested from them in a sustainable manner.
