New rebels are welcome
Every Thursday evening we get together to eat (vegan) food and to chat with each other. Everyone is welcome and new rebels can get help to find your place in Extinction Rebellion.
Everyone is welcome (as long as you're respectful and non-violent) and everyone helps.
We ask everyone to donate for the groceries and the use of the space. If everyone donates on average €5,- then that's perfect, but not everyone can afford that, so donating less or more is also entirely okay. If there's some more left at the end of the night, it's donated to the activist neighbourhood center Nieuwland so they can save up to switch to a sustainable heating system and stove.
We do it all together, so we all help a little bit. You can show up early, from 4pm onwards, to help cook, or you can help do the dishes after dinner. On our vrijwilligersoverzicht (volunteer schedule) you can also see when we need to most help and sign yourself up to help on another Thursday!
If you are a new rebel looking to find out what you can do in Extinction Rebellion, ask for an integrator at the bar.
Of course we trust and expect that everyone follows the principles and values of Extinction Rebellion during this event.
