The air raid siren sounds every first Monday of the month. We listen to the climate alarm. We take this moment to predict that a climate and ecological crisis is not a test, but actually an emergency! Through the die-in we will bring to life the emergency we are in. Will you join us?
This time the Climate Alarm is on the square facing Kijk in 't Jat van de Harmonie, near the exhibition in the photo gallery Lichtzone. We welcome everyone, listen in silence to an excerpt from the Titanic, and fall down as if dead when the Siren sounds. This exhibition explores the depiction of current climate protests through the eyes of the protesters themselves. The monstrous effects of the climate crisis are difficult for people to comprehend. Images offer access to uncertain climate futures and allow us to imagine the unthinkable. This exhibition explores the depiction of current climate protests through the eyes of the protesters themselves. So this time we are inspired by images, instead of words (speech) as usual.
A cup of tea/coffee and then we go and see the exhibition. The space is quite large, so we can all view the exhibition at the same time. The Light Zone is open especially for us on Monday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
